Gestalt therapy is a humanistic approach which explores our present experiences in order to better understand the various coping mechanisms we have learned over time, and which may need to be updated. By becoming more aware of how we are contributing to our current situation, relationships and problems, we can become more chanceful and be able to change.

Gestalt's focus on the present moment, and immediate thoughts and feelings makes it a very lively, spontaneous and creative approach. The greater holistic awareness and increased insight into how we think, feel and act is very liberating. It builds self-confidence, frees us to address issues and helps us to live life to its fullest potential.

Gestalt therapy is an empowering change process for working with individuals, couples, groups. Its therapeutic work has been shown to be effective in treating a wide range of issues as: anxiety,stress,trauma,depression,addictions,tension,shame,relationship related issues, self-esteem related issues, SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder),  whether as a long - term therapy or via number of sessions.

I offer individual and couples sessions for adults.

Please contact me to make an appointment for our initial consultation and/or if you have any questions.

Our initial consultation will not be a therapy session, although you may find it therapeutic. The aim is to gain an understanding of your experience and expectations. I will ask a selection of questions. We will also explore whether we would like to work together and ascertain whether I am the right therapist for you. It is important that you feel you can trust me and that you would be comfortable talking with me about very personal thoughts and feelings. It is also an opportunity for you to clarify any issues you are still not sure of.

At times of personal hardship I offer you a safe, supportive space to explore difficult feelings, to understand the underlying patterns in personal relationships and help you to work on making changes in your life. Together we can achieve this by exploration of :

  • Valuing of the awareness of self and others with integrity and honesty

  • Drawing your focus to the immediate thoughts, feelings and behavior and  better understanding of the way you relate to yourself and others

  • Developing a much greater awareness of your Self and increasing your presence in the world

  • Enhancing your ability to creatively influence the context your are in

  • Appreciating that we are always in relation to and a part of our environment.
